Remove hardwareīefore you start the clawfoot bathtub restoration process, you need to be able to take off the hardware. So we took the original bathtub to a metal recycling center, as no one was willing to pick it up (not even for free!). We definitely wanted to keep the style of the clawfoot tub, so we found a smaller tub, 4 ½ feet long, on Facebook marketplace.
